  • How does a home solar energy storage system work?

    The system stores excess electricity generated by your solar panels during the day in a lithium battery. At night or during grid outages, the stored energy is discharged to power your home. An intelligent energy management system (EMS) automatically controls charging and discharging to maximize self‑consumption and reduce reliance on the grid.

  • What happens during a power outage? Can the battery keep my home running?

    Yes. When the grid fails, a hybrid inverter or battery system with islanding capability automatically disconnects from the grid and supplies backup power to selected circuits (e.g., lights, fridge, internet, medical devices). Most home systems can provide 5–15 kWh of backup, which typically lasts 4–12 hours depending on load.

  • How long does a home storage battery last?

    Most lithium‑iron‑phosphate (LFP) batteries last 10 years or 6,000‑10,000 cycles (whichever comes first). After that, the battery still works but retains about 70‑80% of its original capacity. A 10‑year warranty is standard for quality home storage systems.
