    The WIT 100K-HU is a 100kW three-phase hybrid storage inverter designed for large-scale commercial and industrial (C&I) solar projects, medium-to-large commercial rooftops, agricultural installations, and micro-grid applications. It integrates PV inverter functionality with energy storage and diesel generator (DG) input support, offering eight distinct application modes including self-consumption, peak shaving, demand charge reduction, backup power, and power quality optimization. The "HU" version is specifically designed for integrated solar + storage + grid + DG systems
  • What monitoring and communication options does the WIT 100K-HU offer?

    The WIT 100K-HU comes with integrated Wi-Fi and 4G (optional) for seamless connection to Growatt’s ShineServer platform and ShinePhone mobile app. Users can monitor real-time performance, historical data, battery status, and system alarms remotely. For third-party integration, the inverter supports RS485, CAN, and dry contact interfaces. It is compatible with Modbus RTU / Modbus TCP protocols, allowing integration into existing building management systems (BMS) or SCADA platforms. The WIT series also supports multiple inverter parallel monitoring – up to 9 units can be managed from a single portal.
  • Can the WIT 100K-HU work with an existing diesel generator? How does that function?

    Yes – the WIT 100K-HU has a dedicated generator (DG) input port, specifically designed to integrate a diesel generator as a backup power source. In off-grid or weak-grid areas, when battery levels are low and solar is insufficient, the inverter can automatically start the generator (via dry contact signal), use generator power to charge the battery and supply loads, then stop the generator once conditions recover. This feature significantly reduces diesel consumption and operating costs. The generator connection is synchronized with the inverter’s AC output, ensuring seamless transfer without voltage spikes or disruption to sensitive loads.
  • Does the inverter provide backup power during grid outages?

    Yes. The WIT 100K-HU features both UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) and black start functions, ensuring seamless power supply to critical loads during grid failures. In backup mode, it supports 100% unbalanced load, meaning each phase can deliver up to full power even if the load is not equally distributed across phases.
